Meet the team

Meet your coaches

Emma Currivan, Head Coach and Founder of Excellence Coaching

"If you’re going to invest in a coach to help you with working towards your goals, it’s important to know who they are and what they’re about.

I hold a first class honours degree in Biochemistry from Trinity College Dublin, and my love of science has translated into health and fitness. I’m fascinated by the body – how it works, moves, how we can optimise its function and performance, and how to ensure we can live a long and healthy life.

I’m also a certified nutritionist, holding accredited certifications from Precision Nutrition (Level 1), the Shaw Academy, and Brian Keane Fitness Nutrition. I’m also a PTCollective certified personal trainer, Pre-Script Level 1 certified (programming and biomechanics), and a J3U certified coach.

I also just love to train really hard, and I can honestly say that lifting weights has given me a sense of power and confidence that I would bottle up and sell if I could! My training beliefs are simple – get strong at the basics, and keep getting stronger over time, and you’ll build solid muscle. If you become part of the team, I’ll be pushing you to be stronger than you ever thought you could be!

I’m constantly trying to further my knowledge about training so that I can optimise my own results, and I am passionate about helping others do the same.

I’ve been resistance training and learning about health and nutrition since 2014, and in that time I’ve done several successful diet phases and muscle gaining phases. I have competed in bodybuilding at both the national and international level, and hold the 2022 WNBF Irish Figure Overall, NBFI Figure Overall, and INBA/PNBA European Figure (and PNBA pro card) titles, alongside coming third at the WNBF World Championships in Los Angeles.

I’ve learned how to juggle fitness with both hectic study schedules and full time employment. I’ve also made almost every mistake in the book, listened to misinformation and felt totally stuck at times. I want to help you avoid making all the mistakes that I made and fast track your progress and ensure longterm success. I’ve worked with some incredible coaches over the years, and so I know what goes into a great coaching service, and what it’s like to be a coaching client.

I primarily head up the physique (comp/photoshoot prep) side of Excellence Coaching, and I am incredibly passionate about helping women take their results to the next level.

Zoe Mulhall, Lifestyle Coach

I am a Sport and Exercise Science student with a strong interest in the science of how the human body moves and its biomechanics.

I’m also a Precision Nutrition certified nutritionist, and a REPS Ireland and ITEC certified personal trainer, with experience on the gym floor and teaching group fitness classes.

Training is my passion, and it has entirely transformed my life and improved both my mental and physical health.

Growing up, I was always self-conscious about my physique, so I tried cardio and diets to improve it. After making every mistake in the book, I realized that the strong and muscular body I wanted would not be achieved with hours of cardio and no carbs. I changed my approach and began eating to fuel my body, and I rapidly saw results when I began resistance training correctly.

I have incorporated my own health and fitness routines into my busy lifestyle, even when in full time education and employment, and I plan to show you how to do the same. I am a big believer in making time for the things that matter to you.

My biggest goal is to show other girls how powerful they can be by working hard and properly fuelling their bodies. My intention is to share my knowledge of fitness and nutrition, as well as to assist and support you on your journey to achieving a desirable physique and improving your mentality.

After working with Emma myself, I have learnt so much about what it takes to be a great coach, and my understanding of nutrition and exercise is constantly expanding.

Faye Tierney, Lifestyle Coach

I am a busy mother of two Autistic Boys who are now 12 and 9 years old. I can hand on heart say that lifting weights and fitness has completely transformed my life.   I spent my late teens and 20’s travelling and working as an Accounting Technician, while finally settling down and starting a family in my early 30’s.  When my boys were diagnosed with Autism I did what needed to be done at the time and I gave up my career to care for them.  I needed to be home 24/7 and give my everything to raising them in the early years.  I threw myself into educating myself about all things Autism to be the best mother I could be for them because quite simply - that’s what needed to be done.

Fitness soon became a huge part of my life and I would make it a priority in my life because of how it made me feel.  The mental benefits I got from moving my body gave me focus and strength to enable me to tackle each day with the boys and made me a better mother.  Even if somedays that meant all I could do was long walks with the  boys in the double buggy, I would push myself and do 10K walks up and down hills.  I truly believe that you will always find a way to bring some kind of fitness into your life no matter your current circumstances.  Over this time I drifted in and out of yoga, running, HIIT classes, boxing and kickboxing.

I eventually found weight lifting and my life has transformed ever since.  I feel reborn.  I loved how it made me feel so empowered and confident - so much that I went back to college to become a PT so that I can now help other ladies to feel strong confident and empowered. I am constantly learning about training and I am on a journey of continuous learning so that I can educate myself as much as possible because fitness and nutrition is my passion.  I want to help other women to improve their lives and be the best version of themselves in Mind and Body.

I have tried all of the fad diets over the years and I have made the mistakes so now you don’t have to.  I realised that food is fuel and not to be feared.  I want to show women that  you don’t need ridiculously low calories to lose bodyfat.  I want to educate women on the importance of all of the different macros and why we need to eat them. I have completed successful muscle building phases and dieting phases so that I can now coach you through your journeys whatever your goal may be.

We are capable of achieving whatever we put our mind to and I want to show you that you can.  With the right guidance and structure you are capable of achieving great things.  I myself have been coached by amazing coaches so I know how to be a great client along with also being a great coach.
